Tapas Olé! When being in Ibiza, you should definitely not miss the best tapas bars of the island. Tapas are super tasty spanish snacks, that are perfect to a cocktail or a good glass of wine. Typical tapas are Patatas Bravas, Albóndigas, Jamón Serrano and bread with some Aioli and olives.
Why do I love this snacks so much? When I meet up with some friends for having a chilled and fun evening, tapas bars are my first choice. They all offer a great variety of this small yummy spanish dishes which are just too good to be true and perfect for socializing!
La Bodega
La Bodega is a place I absolutely fell in love with during my first stay on Ibiza 3 years ago. So everytime I feel like for some great tapas with a heavenly good wine, I come to La Bodega, which is in Ibiza Town right at the old city wall. This tapas bar is not only known for it’s high quality food and really friendly service but also for it’s rustical and traditional charme as it used to be an old Ibizian storehouse. You can dine here daily from 6pm till late where you not only find tourists but also a lot of locals, who also fell in love with this unpretentious eatery! Because it’s so popular, you better reserve a table in advance.
Do you prefer to have some great tapas and wine directly by the sea? No problem! You can find another La Bodega in Talamanca where you have in addition to great food also a stunning view to Ibiza’s oldtown and the sea. Also, La Bodega Ibiza will open the doors for their new cocktail bar this summer; directly in the neighbourhood of the city restaurant with a fine selection of handcrafted cocktails. Definitely a spot i want to check out this season.
Little Ibiza Figueretas
Little Ibiza is a café and bar with awesome dishes that stand out for their flavor and intensity. If you take a walk along the promenade of Figueretas Beach, which is located between Ibiza town and Playa d´en Bossa, you will recognize a crazy looking place with coloured umbrellas and hippy decoration – this is Little Ibiza. It’s decorated with unique and colorful elements brought from Indonesia. Feel the free spirit with some chilled music and good vibes. The food and cocktails here are super delicious and you can get them to very reasonable prices. Also discover their small store where you can find beautiful souvenirs and accessoires.
Can Terra
Don’t miss this total hip restaurant when you come to Ibiza! Here you should definitely try the super delicious Pintxos which are small Basque tapas served on some white bread. From 7pm they offer a variety of Pintxos in form of a buffet at the bar. So best time to come here is around 6.30pm to get a good place to sit.
Tastes excellent – incredible variety – also vegetarian options! And what I like most about Can Terra that it’s perfect to socialize and get in touch with others.
Even if you need a good coffee in the morning. Can Terra will not disappoint you. From the outside it looks inconspicuous, you’ll find it in Ibiza town near KFC and Pull&Bear and it will exceed your expectations.
Tapas Restaurant & Lounge Bar
Here you’ll find extremely good tapas, wine and the best service! Even though it’s not by the beach, but a bit more away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful garden.
They have a good range of basic tapas but also convince with creative new dishes in a wonderful atmosphere. The dishes are really big and are offered at a great value for money. In addition to that, they have a wide range of selected wines, hand crafted cocktails, great beer and international spirits. I cannot resist from the whole baked Camembert, together with some Patatas Bravas and bread with Aioli. For dessert you shouldn’t’ miss the cheesecake!
If you come here in the evening you better reserve a table, because it can be busy sometimes. You’ll find this restaurant in a side road of Linekers in San Antoni de Portmany.
Bar Anita
Just next to the church of Sant Carles de Peralta is one of the most famous and at the same time most busiest pubs of the island: “Bar Anita”, often called “Ca n’Anneta” which is my absolute favorite tapas bar on whole Ibiza!
Just the trip to San Carlos with its cute Mediterranean all-white houses, where you can also find Bar Anita, is already worth going there! Such a cozy atmosphere!
This chilled restaurant is cult: more than 50 years now they have been serving typical spanish dishes and drinks. You don’t just get typical drinks such as wine and beer but also special homemade hierbas which is a typical island liqueur made from around 16 different ingredients. What I love most is the socializing ambience, welcoming atmosphere and it’s authentic Ibiza look. Bar Anita – I’ll be back soon!
Tapas are just perfect for balmy summer dinners or a little late-night-snack with friends. If you need more inspiration about how to spend your days before it, also check out my latest article about the best secret beaches on Ibiza!
